Pierre Bonnaud (1865-1930) was a French Academic Painter. Bonnaud studied at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon and exhibited at the Salon de la Ville in 1888. Then came to Paris to study successively with Jean-Paul Laurens, Gustave Moreau, Léon Bonnat and finally Jean-Léon Gérôme.

Julien DUPRÉ ✿

Julien Dupré (March 18, 1851 – April, 1910) was a French realist painter. He was born in Paris to Jean Dupré (a jeweler) and Pauline Bouillié. It was expected that he enter the family business, and to that end Dupré began working in a shop that sold lace.

Sir Oswald Hornby Joseph Birley (1880-1952) was an English portrait painter and royal portraitist in the early part of the 20th century. Birley was born in New Zealand to Hugh Francis Birley (1855–1916) while his parents were on a world tour. He was born into an old Lancashire family. Upon returning to England, he was educated at Harrow School, London and Trinity College, Cambridge.

Arnaldo FERRAGUTI (1862-1925) ✿

Arnaldo Ferraguti (1862-1925) è stato un pittore e illustratore italiano appartenente alla corrente verista, famoso durante la sua vita anche per le numerose incisioni con cui ha illustrato i libri dell'editore Treves. Nasce a Ferrara ma si forma all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, allora sotto la guida di Domenico Morelli. Fece amicizia con il pittore Francesco Paolo Michetti e la sua cerchia a Francavilla al Mare.

Nel 1891 sposò Olga Treves, nipote degli editori Emilio e Giuseppe Treves. Fece erigere una villa a Pallanza dove insegnò pittura, e frequentò i salotti della vicina Villa Cordelia di Giuseppe Treves.

Arnaldo FERRAGUTI ✿

Arnaldo Ferraguti (1862-1925) was an Italian painter and illustratory belonging to the verismo current, famous during his lifetime also for the numerous engravings with which he illustrated the books of the publisher Treves. He was born in Ferrara but trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Naples, then under the leadership of Domenico Morelli. He befriended the painter Francesco Paolo Michetti and his circle at Francavilla al Mare.

Jean Alfred Marioton (Paris, 1863-1903) was a French painter and decorator. Marioton was born in Paris, the son of Jean Marioton and Catherine Magister. His father was a cook and his mother worked in a metal burnishing company. His two brothers, Claudius Marioton (1844) and Eugène Marioton (1857), were sculptors.
