Angelo Asti (1847, Paris - 1903, Mantua) was an Italian-French portrait painter. He came from an Italian family, but mostly worked in Paris. Asti's work is an example of the commercialization of art. He painted hundreds of portraits of women with deep cleavages.

Mian Situ (司徒绵) Chinese/American artist born in 1953 in Southern China, Mian Situ’s received his formal art training in his native homeland of Guangdong, formerly Canton.  During his schooling, he experimented with various artistic styles such as impressionism, post-impressionism and expressionism. He was also deeply influenced by the 19th Century European Academic Realism that traveled to Russia and was eventually imported to China.

In 1967-1982 worked in the field of textile design and packege for factories and institutions.
In 1982-1987, he taught at the Beijing Institute of Industrial Design.
In 1988 moved to live in Australia, where he continued and developed their creativity and now teaches courses on creating portraits in pastel.

Bart Lindstrom is a californian artist best known for his oil paintings and portraitsBart was born and raised in Southern California, where nature and the outdoors were his first artistic inspiration. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in business marketing but soon realized that his future lay in his first love. He went on to study at the Art Center in Pasadena. His professional career started with watercolors and then moved into oils. He quickly started to specialize in portrait and figurative paintings.

Serge IVANOFF (Russian, 1893-1983) ✿

Serge Petrovitch Ivanoff (Иванов Сергей Петрович) was a Russian portrait painter, born in Moscow and showed artistic ability from a young age. On the family’s move to St. Petersburg, he took the opportunity to further his artistic studies by enrolling at the Imperial Academy of Arts in 1917, at the height of the Russian Revolution. The turmoil of the aftermath of these events prompted Serge Ivanoff, with his wife and two young children, to move permanently to Paris in 1922.

Boleslaw Szańkowski (1873-1953) was a Polish portrait painter. He  studied painting at the Krakow Matejko School of Fine Arts between 1890 - 1893 and from 1894 at the Munich Academy. Then he moved to Paris, stayed there for 13 years, studied at the Académie Julian and Colarrosi. In 1900 he received the medal at the Paris salon with a portrait of a man in an officer's uniform, the hussar.
