Ignat IGNATOV ✿

Ignat Ignatov is an artist with extraordinary talent. His paintings have incredible richness, vitality, and emotion that the artist achieved with master use of color, light, and texture.

Ignat was born in 1978 in Bulgaria, where he grew up and received his initial training in fine arts. He was only thirteen, when his promising talent earned him one of only thirty available spots at the most renowned Secondary Art School of Applied Arts in Tryavna, Bulgaria, where he studied for five years. He then learned under the demanding atelier approach to fine art at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo.
In 1997 Ignat used earnings from the sale of his art to finance his move to the United States. He is now a United States citizen living in California. Ignat continued his education at California Art Institute in Westlake Village, Associates in Art in Sherman Oaks, and the American Animation Institute in North Hollywood.
Ignat has been teaching painting classes at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art from 2005 to 2012.
He dedicated numerous of his art project to help homeless animals in the U.S. and in Bulgaria. His portraits of street dogs and dogs on death row raised high awareness of the problem. He donated proceeds from these projects to various animal rescue organizations and helped building an animal shelter in Bulgaria.
Ignat is a Signature Member of the California Art Club. He received multiple awards from International ARC Salon, Salon International, California Art Club, and Oil Painters of America.
