Julio Moisés Fernández de Villasante (Tortosa, 1888-Suances, 1968), was a Spanish painter and portraitist. He founded a Free Academy of Art in 1923. Director of the San Fernando School of Fine Arts (1942–1946). He worked above all on genre painting and female portraiture, a mixture of costumbrismo and folklore.

She is considered to be one of Denmark's greatest visual artists. She was born at Brighton, Victoria, youngest of the ten children of Francis Edward Stewart, an early settler of Gladstone, Queensland, and his wife Agnes, née Park, of Wellington, New Zealand. She spent the 1920s and 1930s painting in Britain, France and Italy. Cumbrae Stewart studied at the Melbourne National Gallery School, where she was taught by Lindsay Bernard Hall and Frederick McCubbin.

Filipino artist Fernando Amorsolo (Manila, 30 maggio 1892 – Manila, 24 aprile 1972) best remembered for his landscapes of the countryside in the Philippines. Was the first-ever to be recognized as a National Artist of the Philippines. He was recognized as such for his "pioneering use of impressionistic technique" as well as his skill in the use of lighting and backlighting in his paintings, "significant not only in the development of Philippine art but also in the formation of Filipino notions of self and identity.

Walter Ernest Webster (1877-1959) was a British painter born in Manchester, England. Walter showed artistic prowess as a child, winning a study scholarship at the Royal College of Art. In 1899, he enrolled at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, studying there for five years. During his course of study at the Academy, Walter won numerous art prizes.

He graduated from the French School of Law in 1919.
