Josef Kote is an American contemporary artist of Albanian descent, 1964 known for his colorful and energetic paintings of countryside, sea and city landscapes. His unique take on nautical scenes, landscapes and cityscapes is unmatched. His paintings are symphonies of light and color. With the lightness of the hand of a true master he combines academic and abstract classical elements, blending them into one another with trickling trickles. Kote's trademarks are his bold brushwork and vibrant color brushstrokes applied with a pallet knife. All of Kote's masterpieces capture shimmering moments in time and space and are filled with light, energy and love for any subject he chooses to portray.
