Emile QUENTIN BRIN (French, 1863-1950) ✿

Émile Léon Quentin Brin, known as Émile Quentin-Brin (1863-1950) born in Paris is a French painter. Émile Léon Quentin Brin is the son of Arthur Brin, chemist, and Ambroisine Douay.
First a student of the marine painter, Ulysse Butin, he was admitted to the National School of Fine Arts, in the studio of Alexandre Cabanel.
He exhibited for the first time in 1888 at the Salon des Artistes Français, then, from 1901, at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts.
He also exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon d'Hiver, as well as the Retrospective of the Independents in 1926. He was promoted knight of the Legion of Honor on July 15, 1949.
