Josef Kote is an Albanian-born American contemporary artist, 1964 known for his colourful, energetic paintings of country, sea and cityscapes. His unique interpretation of nautical scenes, landscapes and cityscapes are completely unmatched. His paintings are symphonies of light and color. With the lightness of a true master’s hand he combines classic academic and abstract elements, fusing them into each other with dripping rivulets. Kote’s trademarks are his bold brush work and sweeping strokes of vibrant colors applied with a pallet knife. All Kote’s masterworks capture shimmering moments in time and space and are filled with light, energy, and love for whatever subject he chooses to portray.
